Faith in Action
Dear friends, do you think you’ll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? Be filled with the Holy Spirit!” and walk off without providing so much as a coat or a cup of soup—where does that get you? Isn’t it obvious that God-talk without God-acts is outrageous nonsense? With so many attribution-free resources available online, it’s easier to make your own chalkboard typography for Facebook or Pinterest quotes and notes than you might think. One of the best places to pick up completely free photos in a hurry is Pixabay.com. As they explain on Pixabay, ” You can use any Pixabay image without attribution in digital and printed form, even for commercial applications.” Great news, right? Once you create a free account, do a quick search for “chalkboard” and you’ll see a good selection of options like the one I used in my examples below. Next, all you need is a good chalkboard font or two. The fonts I’ve used below are chalk-hand-lettering-shaded and Chalk it up; both are available from one of my favorite font websites, dafont.com. Install the fonts and drop your background and your personalized text into any kind of image-editing software. I prefer Adobe Photoshop, but there are also a dozen free Photoshop-like alternatives to choose from that you can find online. Feel free to use the high resolution chalkboard quotes below, or even better, make your own. Enjoy!
Ten years ago today, my husband proposed. After a half-hour of speechlessness (rare for me), I finally said “yes!” That was a per-ret-ty great day. I recently came across the below quote (author unknown) and really liked it until about halfway through:

I will stalk you, flip out on you, lecture you, drive you insane, be your worst nightmare, and hunt you down like a bloodhound when I have to, because I love you. When you understand that, I will know you have become a responsible adult. You will never find anyone else in your life who loves, prays, cares, and worries about you more than I do. If you don’t mutter under your breath ”I hate you” at least once in your life, I am not doing my job properly.
There is at least one person who prays for my three children as much as I do (probably more), their Grandma. So, this is my modified version. Enjoy!
