DIY Chalkboard Quotes and Notes

With so many attribution-free resources available online, it’s easier to make your own chalkboard typography for Facebook or Pinterest quotes and notes than you might think. One of the best places to pick up completely free photos in a hurry is Pixabay.com. As they explain on Pixabay, ” You can use any Pixabay image without attribution in digital and printed form, even for commercial applications.” Great news, right? Once you create a free account, do a quick search for “chalkboard” and you’ll see a good selection of options like the one I used in my examples below. Next, all you need is a good chalkboard font or two. The fonts I’ve used below are chalk-hand-lettering-shaded and Chalk it up; both are available from one of my favorite font websites, dafont.com. Install the fonts and drop your background and your personalized text into any kind of image-editing software. I prefer Adobe Photoshop, but there are also a dozen free Photoshop-like alternatives to choose from that you can find online. Feel free to use the high resolution chalkboard quotes below, or even better, make your own. Enjoy!

Moon Photos

Well, if you missed the recent harvest super moon or the couple of blood moons we had in 2014, it looks like there are two more rare blood moons happening in April and another super moon in September of 2015. The universe is intricate, mathematically perfect, and amazing, isn’t it? Here are some photos we took of a beautiful moon sky, set up in half-sheet (8.5 x 5.5) 2-up flyer size and two PowerPoints (1024 x 768). Or, visit us on Pixabay here to download even higher-res versions. Enjoy!
